Ell and Lars nest update
Appears the nesting great horned owl pair abandoned their nest in the palm tree. I spotted the pair last evening and they had both came up from where they roust during the day. The eggs should have hatched by now and, if they had, Ell would be with the tiny owlets during the day. The palm tree went through a couple of noticeable changes over the past few week from wind and partial tree trimming; I would have moved, too.
I spotted two raven chicks for the first time the other day. They look big and their beaks were peaking over the edge of the nest while being fed.
The red-tailed hawk pair have little ones as well but they are tiny and not visible over the nest rim, yet.
