Last month was the 10th wettest and 7th warmest October in over 100 years

Wildlife activity was relatively high today. I spotted a deer on the Cozy Dell trail in the morning. Then in the afternoon I spotted a red-shouldered hawk, bobcat, and coyote. I didn’t see the bobcat until they were walking away back into chaparral; I was looking over the chaparral as the bobcat popped out. Farther into the meadow and along the fringe of the chaparral a coyote was busy at a rodent hole. I wanted to stay and watch the coyote, but I didn’t. I think I was distracting them because they kept looking up at me. The bobcat headed in the direction of the coyote; I wonder if the two met. So much action today.
