Woodland Hills is a location to the southeast of Ojai and NWS recorded the all time hottest August in 78 years; for some reason Ojai records are missing, but the heat in August felt record breaking, here, as well. Ell was active last evening and dove for a rodent some 30 feet away from me. Too bad the light was very low because I snapped her as she dove towards me. The picture is a blurry dark mass.
