A male kestrel has returned to the old orange grove

This morning was the second day this week that I spotted a kestrel hunting in the old orange grove across the river. Maybe a breeding pair will claim the area. In spring 2025 there was a nest in a hollowed-out sycamore tree nearby. I haven’t spotted a female yet. In past years there have been a couple of females in the field throughout the year.
