Favored red-tailed hawk marker post

I have tried many times to snap a hawk perched on this specific post above Sulphur Mountain Road. The key is using a tree that blocks their view. I have to get off my bike and get my camera ready, and the hawk usually leaves during all that commotion. The hawk can see what is coming up and down the road from their post perch, but on the road up from the post there’s a tree that blocks a section of the road 200-300 feet from the post. I fooled the hawk this time. The sunlight was filtered through partly cloudy skies.
