River channel rerouted…

The floods this year did a splendid job of reshaping the river along a relatively short reach downstream from my house. The snap is from the center of the old main channel looking upstream. The water raged where I was standing, during the last several winters. The main channel is now to the right, relative to the snap. There are a few streams to the left of my position. I was surprised and stoked looking downstream. The small streams consolidated into the old main channel and became a bigger stream fit for happy mallards. I was a little bummed that a dead tree trunk, that was in the vicinity of a pool, was gone. I snapped an osprey and kingfisher a number of times from that perch. That’s the second exposed perch that didn't survive this winter.
